What is the ENS
The National Security Framework (ENS) , regulated by Royal Decree 311/2022 , sets out the security principles and requirements to protect information in services provided to Public Administrations.
The three levels
The ENS defines three categories —Basic, Medium and High— according to the impact a security incident would have. The High category is the most demanding and applies to services where a failure would have very serious consequences.
Why it matters beyond the public sector
A provider holding certified ENS High is an objective, third-party audited guarantee that it applies the strictest security measures. Any company, public or private, benefits from that demand.
